As winter approaches and the warmth becomes more precious, it’s the last Wednesday of November.
I hope everyone is having a warm day, and today, I will tell you how to use Leonardo Ai.
Leonardo AI
Leonardo Ai is an AI software developed by NVIDIA, combining deep learning and artificial intelligence technologies used in image creation, editing, and illustration. The name might feel very familiar. It seems to evoke the creativity and artistic capabilities of Leonardo da Vinci.
According to an article published on October 15, 2020, NVIDIA collaborated with the Italian university consortium CINECA to name the world’s fastest AI supercomputer “Leornardo.”
How to Use Leonardo AI
Now, let’s learn how to use Leonardo.AI. This post will be brief and easy for beginners to follow, so please follow along!
1) Sign Up
Click on [Launch App] at the Leonardo Ai website https://leonardo.ai/.
Then, the screen will transition as shown above. You can sign up easily using your Apple, Google, or Microsoft account, or you can register by entering your name and email. I signed up using my Google account.
2) Profile Setting / Agreement
Once you have completed the registration, now you need to enter your username and check your areas of interest, and also mark whether you are over 18 and if you want to see NSFW content.
[NSFW] stands for “Not Safe For Work,” indicating content that is inappropriate to view at work or in public places. Generally, this can include sexual, violent, or other inappropriate themes.
3) Home
Based on the free version of Leonardo.Ai, you are provided with 150 tokens per day. Typically, 1 token equals 1 image. The number of tokens consumed varies depending on the size, resolution, and features used in creating an image. Generally, with 150 tokens, you can create between 25 to 70 images.
The free version does not allow simultaneous tasks and is limited to the number of tokens allocated daily.
However, it is sufficiently convenient for beginners or for general tasks.
4) Community Feed
You can see a wider variety of images through the Community Feed in the left menu bar.
Do you see any pictures you like? When you hover your mouse over a picture, you can click the ♥ to add it to your favorites.
When you click on an image, you can see details such as the model used for image creation and the Prompt.
You’ll notice features like [Copy Prompt], [Image2Image], and [Remix]. I pressed the somewhat unfamiliar [Remix] button to see what it does.
When you click the [Remix] button, you are directed to the AI Generation Tool page with the detailed settings of the model used. On the left, you can select the desired number of images, dimensions, and other settings. Then, when you press [Generate] in the top right corner, it starts creating similar images.
5) Personal Feed
The images created this way can be viewed in the [Personal Feed] on the main workspace screen. It also shows the available tokens, excluding those deducted for the image generation you just performed.
6) Training & Datasets
[Training & Datasets] allows you to create a Customized model in your own style.
This page helps you process your own data to use it as a model. Simply put, think of it as a space for training. You can create your own model based on images, tailored to the name and description you want. I will provide more detailed information in a future advanced course.
7) Finetuned Models
[Finetuned Models] allows you to view a variety of models provided by default and those created by different users.
This is a space where you can use models created through the previously mentioned Training & Database. In other words, think of it as a place where you can freely use a variety of models, either created by yourself or by someone else!
Today, we briefly looked at the features of Leonardo.AI. Next time, we will actually create an image. I’ll move on to Part 2 to give a detailed explanation while making the image!
I have previously posted a comparison of generators that includes Leonardo AI, so I recommend those who are curious to take a look at it.
