What is Pika Art and How to Use

Hello everyone, it feels like this is the first time I’m greeting you in the new year.
How are you enjoying 2024 so far? Today, I want to talk about PIKA, officially released at the end of 2023.

Pika Art

Pika is an incredible artificial intelligence tool that takes text and images to create impressive, believable, and often beautiful multi-second video clips. Like any generative AI tool, Pika Labs requires the right kind of prompt to make the most of it.

1. Sign Up to Pika

First, to use Pika AI, please sign up through the following link.

You can sign up in whatever way is most convenient for you.

Once logged in, you’ll see various results displayed as thumbnails, and below that, a text box where you can write your prompt labeled “Describe your story.”

2. Thumbnails in Explore Tab

Right after logging in, among the various thumbnails displayed, choose one that catches your eye and click the frame icon in the lower right corner. The chosen thumbnail will then be displayed prominently, with prompts describing the image listed below.

This can be seen as a video that has been restructured based on the first frame image and the associated prompts.

3. How to Use Pika Art

Now, let’s explore Pika together.
Let’s start by trying out two different methods: one using only prompts to create results, and the other based on images or videos as the base for testing.

First, let’s generate a result using just a prompt, without any source or preparation.

Prompt: “Beautiful lady wearing a golden dress is running on the roads.”

After typing the prompt and clicking the star icon (Generate), you will be directed to the ‘My Library’ tab next to ‘Explore’, where you can view the result you just created.

It turns into a video! Given the simplicity of the prompt, I wasn’t expecting much, but this suggests that with a bit more effort, truly impressive results can be achieved. Please note that Pika Art automatically generates 3-second-long videos by default!

Now, for the second method, let’s incorporate an image and add a few conditions to proceed with the project.

By clicking the clip icon on the left in the image above, you can upload an image or video of your choice. I’ll upload a picture of a blonde woman in anger, as shown in our A2SET YouTube channel.

As shown in the image, I’ll be adding a few additional options through the icons located at the bottom right of the prompt box.
I’ll incorporate a negative prompt to increase the accuracy of the main prompt and select Pika’s unique camera movement options to create a more dynamic video. Please note that if you incorporate a video or image, unlike when you simply input a prompt without any source, you won’t be able to adjust the screen ratio. It’s important to be aware of this difference.

Isn’t it amazing? The fact that such wonderful results can be created with just a few additional options is astonishing. While it’s not yet perfect, I believe that with a few more attempts and refinements, even more impressive creations can be achieved.

For the final step, I’ll be uploading a video instead of an image and proceeding with the same prompt and options.

Please note that when uploading a video, it should be less than 10MB. Additionally, after uploading the video, make sure to click on the ‘Modify Region’ button on the right side of the video to set up the region box for proper generation.

Once you’re ready, feel free to upload your desired video and click on the generate button again!

Pika Animation with Video

In the case of video, it appears to be generated by adopting the motion within the video based on the prompt.
As you can see, the original character’s appearance disappears, and a new video is created with the motion from the original video superimposed on a character generated solely from the prompt. I believe that with more precise and detailed prompts, visually impressive results can be achieved.

Today, we explored how to use Pika Art, a platform that I believe is highly versatile and user-friendly. I’ll continue to study the advanced techniques of Pika and share them with you, so stay tuned for more updates!

  1. Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any points for beginner blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

  2. Nice post. I used to be checking continuously this weblog and I am impressed! Extremely helpful information particularly the remaining section πŸ™‚ I take care of such info much. I was seeking this particular information for a very lengthy time. Thanks and best of luck.

  3. You actually make it seem really easy with your presentation but I to find this matter to be really something which I believe I would never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely wide for me. I’m having a look forward to your subsequent put up, I’ll attempt to get the hang of it!
