Make your Character Dance with Viggle AI

Hello everyone~! How’s your day going?

Today, I want to explore Viggle AI, an exciting platform that turns a single image into AI-generated animations. It’s become wildly popular as people across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram Reels post their AI-crafted Dance Challenge videos.
This platform is designed to be accessible and easy to use, so let’s dive in and learn more about it together!

What is Viggle AI?

Viggle AI : A character-centered idea-to-video generator
Viggle is a groundbreaking AI video generator specializing in character-centric video creation.
Viggle simplifies the animation process, making it accessible for everyone to create consistent and engaging character videos within just a few minutes.

Today, we’ll focus on creating animations using Viggle and get started right away!

1. Viggle AI Website

Please visit the Viggle AI website through the link below.

Note that, like Midjourney, Viggle operates through the platform Discord, so signing up for Discord is essential.
If you would like a brief overview of Discord, please check the link below to understand how it works similarly to Midjourney.

Main Page
Main Page

When you visit the website, you’ll see its homepage which is designed as a single page, making it appear quite simple. What we need to pay attention to is the “Prompt” menu located in the upper right corner and the “Join the beta” button situated in the center of the screen. Let’s start by clicking on the Prompt menu in the upper right corner.

2. Prompt

When you click on the Prompt menu, you’ll see various pre-made animation poses from Viggle displayed in card format as shown in the image below.

On each card, in the lower right corner, there is an icon that allows you to copy the animation prompt. We will press the Copy button located under the animation card of our choice to select our desired animation.

When you press the copy button, a popup like the one described will appear, and the previously seen “Join the beta” button will be displayed. Reading the popup content carefully, you’ll find tips on using commands like /animate, /ideate, and /character, which can be utilized on the Viggle Discord server. I will walk you through how to use these commands shortly.

If, by chance, the Prompt menu page is endlessly loading or not displaying correctly, please go back to the main screen and press the “Join the beta” button directly! *Since it’s still a beta service, there are occasional issues with endless loading…

If, after pressing join the beta, you still can’t access the server on Discord, another option is to go to “Find Server” in Discord and search for “Viggle” to join!

3. How to make video in Viggle Discord

Now that we’ve all joined the Viggle server, let’s proceed. As shown in the image below, you will see four menu options under the categories of Introduction and Getting Started on Viggle. We’ll click on “Create a Video” to continue.

For those familiar with Midjourney, this process will feel very familiar. However, if it’s your first time, make sure to pay close attention to the message box that appears after clicking the “Create a Video” button. You should see that the “Create a video” tag is active above the message area.

Type "/" in Message
Type “/” in Message

Now, it’s time to learn about the unique commands available in Viggle. By typing the “/” symbol, a variety of commands will be displayed, such as /animate, /gif, and more. (Please scroll down for more options!)

With all this information checked, let’s quickly proceed.

Type /animate
Type /animate

First, as shown in the image, type /animate in the message box. As soon as you start typing, the /animate command activates, revealing a total of four options on the right. It might look complicated, but it’s quite simple if you follow the steps in order—just follow along with me!

Image Upload
Image Upload

When you click on the first option in the right menu, “image,” a window will pop up allowing you to upload an image. You should upload an image of the character or person you want to animate. Ideally, you should choose a full shot image showing the character from head to toe. This ensures the best results for the animation process.

Just like in the image, after selecting your desired image, prompt, and background (choose one from white, green, or a template), and activating the Finetune option, press enter. The Discord server will then create an animation based on the image you provided. Let’s wait a moment and see how it turns out!

Generated Image to Video
Generated Image to Video

That’s really impressive!
It’s fascinating how Viggle AI can automatically generate and position a character’s arm even if it’s obscured or not fully visible in the original image.

Unfortunately, using an image with one arm missing led to many visual errors, so I decided to test it again with a T-pose image of Armstrong, a character I’ve loved since childhood.

4. Output

Ta-da~!!! To make it easier for you all to understand, I tested two different versions. On the left is the initial image I tried, where one arm overlaps inward, making it hard to identify the joints. On the right is an example using a T-pose image, which is commonly used in 3D modeling.

Can you see the incredible difference just from the results? And here’s another amazing fact.

When I tested this video, I used the following prompt: A dynamic scene of a K-pop idol performing an energetic dance routine.

What I specified was merely a K-pop idol’s dance, but the result reflected the song “I AM” by the famous Korean girl group IVE and its choreography.

I’ve used many AI platforms, but this is just insane. Although I haven’t tried specifying a particular song to see if it affects the result, this alone has already moved me to tears. Seeing my favorite Armstrong character dancing is truly emotional.

I encourage you all to try making various videos with your favorite characters or your own images!

Next time, I’ll introduce a new platform and some new features that can be integrated with the existing WebUI, so stay tuned!
